A note from the organisers
Dulwich College Seoul is excited to be hosting the WISE (Women in International Schools Empowerment) Conference 2025 from 21-23 February 2025. WISE is an initiative led by Women, for Women, to empower aspiring and current female educators and professionals working in international schools.
The three-day conference provides an opportunity to attend a range of sessions and engage in meaningful discussion and learning to promote empowerment, inclusivity, and skills vital for our development. Led by world-class speakers, including Pauline O’Brien, Director of Business Strategy and Development, Global Recruitment of ISS and Kathryn Hemming, Making Stuff Better Relationship Lead in SE ASIA & China, we are delighted to be a part of this successful event.
Why WISE?
The WISE Conference aims to assist delegates to:
Develop proactive strategies to enhance the wellbeing of self and others, including LGBTQ+, those experiencing peri/menopause and TCK community members.
Deepen their professional understanding of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in education settings, to foster “belonging” in the workplace/community.
Enhance leadership skills across coaching, budgets and school finance, managing difficult conversations, and leading high performing teams.
Develop further skills across interviewing staff, ‘safer recruitment’ and career planning.

Full Schedule
The conference schedule will comprise keynote speakers, interactive workshops, wellbeing sessions, 1-to-1 sessions with leaders in their field, and panel discussions on topics relevant to women in education and aspiring to further leadership.
Keynote Speakers
Four women from industry, politics and education to spark discussion and help us create new momentum and meaning for our leadership journeys.
Workshops
16 bespoke workshop options will focus on skill development, leadership training, and career advancement, ensuring participants leave with tangible takeaways. Led by practitioners, keynotes and experts in their field across school finance, recruitment and other aspects of leadership.
Networking Sessions
Twelve sessions focused on culture and wellbeing for attendees include: a Korean tea ceremony, kimchi making, a Korean beauty workshop, and rice wine tasting. Physical activities feature gym introductions, K-pop dance, and yoga. Creative options include Korean Nanta drumming and a "Paint and Sip" session and the latest in Korean colour analysis.
1:1 Coaching
Enjoy a 20 minute session with an education industry insider to talk through your long term goals, your next steps in your career or how to get the job of your dreams in the next 12 months.
Sunday Marketplace
Experience the vibrant culture and arts of Korea with Sunday Marketplace. Promoting female-led small businesses and charities in Seoul, we will host 6-8 stallholders with creatively entrepreneurial wares for sale. These will include environmentally friendly goods, local crafts and sustainable enterprises.
